Serving as the prime contractor to the 498th Corps Support Battalion, CUI provides a variety of computer systems design services.

Specifically, CUI:

• Provides computer systems integration and design consulting service for the clients 200 workstation Windows 2000 network in garrison and in the field. CUI functions as the Battalion’s IMO Information Management Officer) and Information Assurance Manager, DMS Organization Registration Authority. CUI also maintains knowledge of all applicable EUSA regulations concerning information technology. CUI ensures configuration management of installed PC programs conforms to the EUSA standard software
• Plans budgets for system architecture upgrades and improvements. CUI provides detailed input to the Theater WAN/LAN planning cycle ensuring client requirements are addressed
• Performs minor hardware/software/network maintenance such as board replacement, cabling and cable switching, communication assistance, hardware (CRTs, printers) installation/replacement
• Recommends changes to software and hardware to minimize expenditures and provide growth into the future
• Provides LAN/WAN/MAN management and infrastructure support including installation of new circuits, routers, and servers
• Plans for, design, and installs new network backbones
• Maintains configuration control and management of multiple networks using Computer Associates Enterprise Management System software
• Maintains inventory control of all software, hardware, circuits, and IP addresses
• Monitors and analyzes network loads, both in garrison and the field
